output to a folder, filename still a timestamp

the --report options allows the name of the output to be specified.

--report=afr:outfile=/tmp/reports/test.com.afr

I tried to do a outdir=/tmp/ but this was ignored.

Is it possible to specify an output directory but not the filename. So the filename would be the default filename, i.e. the timestamp, but the location of the report would be that specified?

Unfortunately not, but I'll implement this at the end of business tonight.
I'll update this discussion when I do.

Sorry, it took me a couple of days to get to it because I was making some much needed memory optimizations to arachni.

I implemented your feature request, you can find it in the experimental branch and in the nightly builds.
