Stopping a scan and generating a report

I am running Arachni v0.4.2 and am running into a challenge. I am new to Arachni so this may be a simple issue.

I am running a scan against a web site that has been running for a few days. I used to command line to execute the scan. With other scans I was able to hit CTRL-C which generated a prompt that allowed me to hit "r" to generate a report. When I hit CTRL-C for my currently running scan I don't get that prompt. I need to stop this scan and I need to generate a report so I don't lose the results of the testing I've already performed. Can anyone help?

Sometimes, when under heavy workload, the CLI's interrupt handling seems to take a lower priority than the scan workload itself, so when you hit CTRL-C the screen may take some time to appear. Unfortunately, there's very little I can do about that.

However, Arachni now has a much better interface for handling scans (the WebUI) so I'd suggest you switch to using that one. It will allow you to inspect logged issues at much greater detail, even for running scans, and also let you generate reports for finished scans in the usual formats.

Let me know if you need further assistance with anything.

    Cheers,
    Tasos L.

I forgot to mention that currently the WebUI doesn't allow report generation mid-scan, you'll only be able to inspect the logged issues of a running scan via the interface itself.

I'm not adversed to adding that feature though if you need it.

    Cheers

Just a quick update. Problem solved. The process was running in the background. When I brought it to the foreground I was able to generate the report and stop the scan.

Ah, cool then. I'll have to keep this in mind for future reference, thanks for letting me know.
