Is it possible to start a scan through cli command and keep track of it's status through the web UI?

I was just wondering this and I couldn't find it anywhere. It would be a nice feature if you ask me but I can imagine that it's not implemented at the moment.

Detaching and attaching scans will be provided in the new engine, but it's not available now.

Cool! I saw your post about it and it got me excited already.

So there will be a (new) web-ui as well for this new engine?

    Cheers!

Not sure about that yet, I was working on a really nice new WebUI, and it's pretty far along, but I think the engine will be released first and probably much later the new WebUI.

Well, that makes sense I guess :)

For now the current Arachni version (which is impressive enough) will have to do for me. Will be looking forward to your updates though.
