Hi, today i downloaded arachni-1.4-0.5.10-linux-x86_64.

-rw-r--r-- 1 xxx users 135763146 20. Apr 15:59 arachni-1.4-0.5.10-linux-x86_64.tar.gz -rw-r--r-- 1 xxx users 41 20. Apr 16:01 arachni-1.4-0.5.10-linux-x86_64.tar.gz.sha1

sha1sum -c arachni-1.4-0.5.10-linux-x86_64.tar.gz.sha1
sha1sum: arachni-1.4-0.5.10-linux-x86_64.tar.gz.sha1: keine korrekt formatierte SHA1‐Prüfsummenzeile gefunden

The sha1sum check shows a error, see obove. Is this my bug or what is wrong please?

I think it complains about the format of the file rather than the checksum, if you run a checksum on the archive you'll find it to be identical to the one contained by the SHA1 file.

Hi Tasos, OK the manual comparision is identical.

    Downloads> cat arachni-1.4-0.5.10-linux-x86_64.tar.gz.sha1
    373c1e31304f7f1749c65f9f9a555e19a49affec

    Dowads> sha1sum arachni-1.4-0.5.10-linux-x86_64.tar.gz
    373c1e31304f7f1749c65f9f9a555e19a49affec arachni-1.4-0.5.10-linux-x86_64.tar.gz

and the system command fails, sha1sum -c arachni-1.4-0.5.10-linux-x86_64.tar.gz.sha1
However, i think the problem is solved, thanks for help!

The sha1sum format includes the file listing too but since I'm using one checksum per file I'm just storing the hashes.
    Maybe I should rethink this.

    Cheers
