How many scanning can run at the same time on 1 server?

Hi there,

I found this information about server requirement:

• Operating systems: Linux (32bit or 64bit), Mac OS X (64bit), Windows (64bit)
• RAM: 2GB of available memory.
• Storage: 1GB of available disk space.

If we have a AWS EC2 with similar configuration, how many websites can we test in parallel (if any)?

We are still considering Arachni and if everything goes well we will use it for testing our own +100 websites (hotsites, corporate sites...)

Now I need to convince the managers how much would all this "Arachni Thing" cost, so we need to estimate how many servers we have to buy (or hire from AWS).

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

That's actually impossible to say, it mostly depends on the website rather than Arachni.
The above requirements are meant to be a reasonable amount of available resources to ensure that any given scan running with the default options will complete.

However, you can make the system use less resources by following the advice in this article: http://support.arachni-scanner.com/kb/general-use/optimizing-for-fa...

I'm afraid you'll have to run some tests of your own to determine what's your preferred balance of performance and resource consumption.

You should check out the license also: http://www.arachni-scanner.com/license/

    Cheers
