not found. I read all about it what I could find on google and ran
the build script suggested in another support article. All is fine
except the above 'GLIBC'_2.14(5) not found.<br>
I checked the GLIBC version of cent os and it comes back as
2.12-1.107.el6.x86_64.<br>
I am new to Linux, arachni and centos, but it appears I need to
update GLIBC but yum update glibc says no updates available.<br>
How can I get arachni to run? Is there a manual way to update
glibc?<br>
Thanks</p></div>Gerhard Waterkamptag:support.arachni-scanner.com,2012-07-01:Comment/271765882013-06-05T19:33:24Z2013-06-05T19:33:24Zglibc 2.14/2.15 on centos 6.4<div><p>Let's back up a bit, you ran the build script and the resulting
package returned the same error? That's not possible (I think) as
everything would be built against your host's libc.</p>
<p>Are you sure you didn't get your directories mixed up between
the package you built vs the one you downloaded? Sounds silly, I
know, but it has happened.</p>
<p>Alternatively, you can download the latest Ubuntu and run
Arachni on that.</p>
<p>PS. Sorry for this, I'll switch the build machines to CentOS for
future releases as this has created problems for a few people.</p></div>Tasos Laskostag:support.arachni-scanner.com,2012-07-01:Comment/271765882013-06-06T05:31:23Z2013-06-06T05:31:24Zglibc 2.14/2.15 on centos 6.4<div><p>I installed on Ubuntu desktop 64 bit with the install script

pre-configured environments so that you won't have to manually
install any dependencies or worry about incompatibilities[1].<br>
You just extract[2] the archive and have look at the included
README file, it should explain how to run the executables etc. No
installation necessary.</p>
<p>Let me know how it goes.</p>
<p>[1] Except for libc, as you witnessed, but I'll make that
dependency more resilient in the future.</p>
<p>[2] <code>tar xvf arachni-blahblah</code> from the console or
<code>Right-click -> Extract blah blah</code> from a GUI.</p></div>Tasos Laskostag:support.arachni-scanner.com,2012-07-01:Comment/271765882013-07-19T19:30:06Z2013-07-19T19:30:06Zglibc 2.14/2.15 on centos 6.4<div><p>Forgot to update this at the time of the release but the
packages are henceforth built on CentOS 6.4 so they will work fine
