a URL.

The webserver is responding with a 302 redirect message to the
domain name of the server.

At this point a web browser, e.g. firefox, sends another get to
this new name with the host http header filled in etc etc. Arachni
just drops out.

Is this not indexing the site because the URL is different to
that specified on the command line, and therefore out of scope?

lsmercertag:support.arachni-scanner.com,2012-07-01:Comment/243480672013-01-29T16:03:20Z2013-01-29T16:03:20Z0 pages indexed: get request to an IP returns a 302 to a Domain Name

Exactly, Arachni will stay in the same domain (and subdomain)
for the duration of the scan (although following subdomains can
enabled with
--follow-subdomains
), you'll need to
provide the domain name instead of an IP address.

Tasos Laskos
